The 9-1 Hoisington Cardinals traveled to Minneapolis to play the 7-3 Lions in the regional round of the 3A playoffs on Saturday, November 9, 2014. Behind a strong running game, the Cardinals built a 14-3 lead heading into the 4th quarter. But the Lions, running a spread offense, were able to get their offense moving and scored 2 touchdowns in the quarter to win the game 17-14.
